    NoMagnet Seam Guide, 2 pieces. These magnetic sewing machine seam guides are a great helper for sewing a straight line or circle line track. Simply set it on the needle plate to the right of the needle (the needle plate is the metal piece that the needle goes up and down through the hole and the feed dogs come up under it) place it as far from the needle as you want your line of stitching and it guides the fabric through perfectly as you sew. Helps tremendously to sew a straight, even seam. You will absolutely love this thing!

    Question One:

    How does this work? I am trying to sew my material straighter.

    Answer:

    It helps when sewing a 5/8 inch seam or wider. Sits to close to sewing mechanisms for anything narrower. Wanted to use for quilting but machine hits.

    is it safe for computerized sewing machines?

    Answer:

    If the maker of your sewing machine cautions against the magnetic sewing guides follow their suggestions. Chips the other solid state components, what makes it “computerized”, are not affected or damaged by magnets.

    is this easy to pick up and move around/ I just got a different 1 & very very hard to pickup & move

    Answer:

    I haven't had the issue per se. It's a super-powerful magnet (which is great AFAIC) so I just slide it off rather than trying to pick it up.

    It is a strong magnet, does not slide easily but the little tab in the back makes it easy to lift and move. I just lift the back and then slide it in place. It stays in place when I sew long strips which is especially good since I find my mind can easily wander and my seams get off tract. Hope this helps. I have one for each of my 4 machines.

    I bought these seam guides for myself and my best friend because we sew together every week. She is a beginner and I haven't made anything on a machine since my 8th grade home-ec class. So, when I saw these on sale for less than a single meal at fast food place, I couldn't pass them up. They are a great little gadget to help keep your seams and stitches straight and even.
    The magnets are strong and don't slide around no matter how much fabric is pushing by them. However, when you need to remove it, just lift it by the tab and it pops right off without a fuss. I now keep this little guy within arms reach on my sewing table at all times.
    This is a perfect addition to any sewing machine, whether for a beginner or a hobbyist who has been sewing for years because, as I was told by my home-ec teacher, "Good stitches are borne from confidence." And this little gadget helps you feel confident that your fabric isn't slowly walking too far to one direction or the other. 

    The magnets are very strong so you don't have to worry about knocking them off the mark. I'm not a very good sewer and don't do it often, so the magnet is a great help in keeping the seam straight. I would buy again and highly recommend them. They're small, but do a great job!
